Aim for feeling okay instead of feeling powerful.
Confidence is the lack of anything. That does not mean confidence does not exist. A vacuum is the lack of air but a vacuum exists. Comfort feels good but many think of it as the lack of pain. It is the ability to not know how things are going to turn out and still be able to move towards your goals.
When you are confident you can have movement with little resistance or lack of movement without regret.
Learned helplessness and the comfort of a consistent prediction. When people talk about being confident what they are really talking about is overcoming learned helplessness. LH is when the brain enters a condition where there is no thought about doing anything. Just reaction to situations.
More sensitive and less thought equals lost ability for new information. No matter how you try to talk yourself out of it any success is brief. Even if you succeed many times that will not overwrite the prediction.
Will power, positive thinking, affirmations, overpowering positive emotions all fail because they fight against the prediction but don’t change anything because the brain has not entered a plastic condition where change can actually occur. 4 weeks to improved confidenceCycle through different areas of your life. What is your goal?
What simulations are you running about that situation?
What are your expectations of the result of those simulations?
Snapshot your simulation and find the triggering point to the problem.
Use the 3D Mind or other personal change method on that trigger point. Adjust your expectation.
Run your simulation again with your adjusted expectation. Run simulation with adjusted expectation and add in a skill. Rapport, anchoring, positioning, calibration, listening.Run 3 simulations of success and how you would do it if everything worked well.Run 5 simulations with different ways it could all go wrong AND what you would then say, do or how you would react. Test in real world and adjust to new information
