Gemma Nguyen is a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a member of Team ProRank. She began her martial arts training at the age of six with Charlie Lee Karate under Jhoon Rhee’s curriculum. For ten years, Gemma competed internationally and won numerous titles, including the Women’s Forms and Weapons World Title at the French Open in 2005. She is also recognized as a key competitor in revolutionizing the trick for other women. Currently, Gemma ranks on the NASKA circuit as the top contender in creative forms and extreme female weapons.

Rock Solid Nunchuks

Gemma instructs on some of the basic, intermediate, and advanced techniques for nunchaku. She begins the video by teaching basics like grabbing, catching, stretching and figure 8. Figure 8 forward, reverse, double and lateral techniques are included, along with how to integrate timing and intersecting into her routine. Gemma then explains the more advanced moves including up-downs, full body strikes, hand rolls and transitions, again including variations on each technique. She concludes the lesson by teaching you a complete nunchuck combination form that uses all of the techniques taught throughout the video.
