This DVD, the third in the Master Nomura series, completes the previous two volumes, dedicated to the principles of Aikido and the technical aspects of Aikido, featuring “Keiko” which means “practice”.

On this DVD, “Keiko” is presented in three parts, which are titled “Ki o Nukanai”, “Ki o Dasu” and “Ki ni Awasu”.

Each section of this DVD shows different techniques arranged in a specific sequence for the sake of understanding, however the fundamental concepts of all techniques are the same.

In the context of Aikido training, “Ki o Nukanai” can be understood as not being loose or unfocused. “Ki o Nukanai” relies on the ability to move the body as a whole and in a coordinated manner, and to have a stable yet relaxed and low enough waist: a quality that leads to the concept of centered feeling.

The second part, titled “Ki o Dasu”, or “Releasing Energy” presents some of the technical aspects of the training that serve to increase sensitivity in taking the initiative to invite Uke’s energy.

The third section is dedicated to “Ki ni Awasu”, or “adapting to energy”, and focuses on basic Aikido techniques to incorporate the themes of the previous two sections of the DVD.
