Sifu Paolo Cangelosi, born in Genoa in 1960, is among the most respected and appreciated martial artists in the world (for more information see bio and nomination).Sifu Paolo Cangelosi, born in Genoa in 1960, is among the most respected and appreciated martial artists in the world (for more information see bio and nomination).Young Paolo met his first master, Fu Han Tong, when he was 11 years old. Fu Han Tong, a Chinese master traveling in the West in the 60s and 70s, intended to stay in Genoa for a short time, but he saw something special in this boy. Therefore, he chose to stay, and for 7 years he taught Paolo in the art of Kung Fu, with hard, traditional and sincere oriental training.
That’s how in 1978 Paolo Cangelosi became a Master and opened his own school. Over the years, his School would become one of the most appreciated and well-known not only in Genoa and Italy, but throughout the world.
With several trips to the East, during which he grew up and met other Sifus (among whom the Chan Master Hon Chun is very remembered), he also experimented with traditional and freestyle combat. His successes earned him in Hong Kong, in 1985, the title of “Pu Tien Loon” (the Dragon Dominating the Sky).
Thanks to his talent and his life dedicated to the martial arts, Sifu Paolo’s knowledge and experience in the area of Kung Fu has few competitors in the world.
With prestigious prices, exhibitions and classes in all corners of the world, Paolo Cangelosi is today a famous and much appreciated master in the martial domain.
He had thousands of students. Among the best, stand out Si Baks Nicola Pastorino and Fabio Tozzi, and his own son, Si Sook and professional Muay Thai fighter, Shan Cangelosi.
