Now you can be part of an extremely complete and constantly evolving weapon system! The focus of Weapons-Kali begins with the most functional means of using weapons, and graduates to more attribute-based methods as the student progresses. The translation of the name literally means “Weapon Hand Movement”
The Weapons-Kali curriculum is based on Filipino, Thai and Okinawan weapons arts. Students will study the five main types of weapon use:
1. Impact Weapons: Rods, Staves, Poles, etc.
2. Edged Weapons: Knives, Swords, hatchet etc.
3. Piercing Weapons: Knife, Spear, Sword, etc.
4. Projectile Weapons: Knives, Rocks, Arrows, Guns etc. ..
5. Flexible Weapons: Sarong, Malong, T-Shirt, Rope
The curriculum consists of Slashing, Thrusting, Hacking, Striking, Disarms, Trapping, Locks & Tie-Ups. Students will learn all of these elements, as well as develop coordination, timing, reach, foot and body movement, speed, power, and grace.

Because martial arts is an ongoing study, our curriculum is constantly evolving and improving. This makes Weapons-Kali an art that can be practiced for a lifetime.
Student Rank Progression:
No Flag : Entry Level… All new students are considered “No Flag”.
Yellow Flag: Introduction to basic built-in trips, flow patterns and more,
Green Flag: Introduction to basic external disarms, joint locks, and more.
Blue Flag : Knife Matrix Introduction, cutting combinations, adv. disarm and much more.
Instructor Rank Progression:
Level 1 Instructor: (Guro) Can promote students to Yellow and Green Flag. Must demonstrate an effective ability to teach through Green Flag, therefore Instructor must have at least one student sent for evaluation and promotion to Green Flag to assess Instructor’s ability to effectively convey information.
Level 2 Instructor: Can promote students to Blue and Red Flags. Must demonstrate an effective ability to teach through Red Flag, therefore Instructor must have at least one student sent for evaluation and promotion to Red Flag to assess Instructor’s ability to effectively convey information.
