The Day Trade (Long & Short) Strategy Package endeavors to sell stocks that are in an upward trend but are currently displaying short bursts of excessive strength. Once this strength is identified, the strategy introduces an additional criterion to the entry conditions to enhance the likelihood of price reversals in the downward direction. The exit strategy, known as Market On Close, facilitates swift turnover of trades to reduce overnight exposure. The strategy consistently delivers robust results, and all parameters can be adjusted to enhance risk-adjusted performance or trading frequency.
What is the objective?
SHORT STRATEGY: This approach seeks to short-sell stocks that exhibit strong momentum and have recently demonstrated extreme strength. A 20-year testing period involving 31,500 symbols in the US market has consistently shown profitability. You can view the Short Strategy’s performance here.
LONG STRATEGY
The goal of this long day trading strategy is to purchase equities that are strongly trending and undergoing brief periods of decline. Over a 20-year testing period, 3,500 symbols in the US market have consistently generated profits. You can review the Long Strategy’s performance here.
One key advantage of these strategies is that users are not required to monitor live pricing throughout the day. All orders are placed before the trading session begins, relying on End of Day data, and the API (available separately) automatically closes positions at the market close.
Users of this technique can generate buy and sell signals, create charts, conduct backtests, and adjust various parameter settings without the need for programming knowledge. Additionally, price, volume, turnover, market conditions, and two position-related filters are available.
The Day Trade (Long & Short) Strategy Package is offered in collaboration with The Chartist. A non-disclosure agreement must be executed by the buyer as part of the sales agreement.
