John Pellegrini is the founder and president of several martial arts schools, including the International Federation of Combat Hapkido (Chon-Tu Kwan Hapkido), the Independent TaeKwonDo Association, the World Martial Arts Alliance, Self-Defense America Inc. and the International Police Defense Tactics Institute.

Qualifications
Grande Maître Pellegrini is a 9th dan black belt in hapkido by the World Ki-Do Federation / Hanminjok Hapkido Association and 9th dan black belt in taekwondo by ITA. He has a Kukkiwon (WTF) certification, a certification as a master instructor in Hosinsul (self-defense) and another certification as a Jeet kune do instructor.

In a career spanning over 40 years in the martial arts, Grandmaster John Pellegrini has received an incredibly long line of awards and accolades, including from various martial arts schools, numerous law enforcement agencies worldwide, and various organizations and military bodies. In 1999 and 2001, he was named by the Action Martial Arts Magazine Hall of Fame as the man who has made the greatest contribution to the martial arts in the world.
