In this video, all techniques and concepts of tapi-tapi are demonstrated in 80 minutes, which are required in the current DAV exam program from yellow belt to brown belt.
From the basic structure with wide, medium and short, the transitions from right and left hand techniques, to 2 sticks against 1 stick.

– Tapi Tapi (medium) unnumbered: on the right

– Tapi Tapi (medium) unnumbered: left

– Stop number 1 (driver: on the right)

– Stop number 2 (driver: left)

– Simple (wide) Sinawali with hand changes

– Wide – Medium distance change

– Leader disarms

Green Belt Program

– Change of distance Medium – Short: 3 Punyo (butt) techniques each with right and left

– Reverse block fan (right and left)

– Hand changes at all three distances

– Disarming approaches (all known series) with continuation of the drill

blue belt program

– Butt-fint fan – on the right

– Butt-fint fan – left

– Free hand technique: Back with right in the corner

– 4 stock padlocks

Brown Belt Program

– 6 locking techniques

– 4 sticktrappings according to Prof. fangs

– 2 pins in the corner (driver with left)

– Driver with two sticks vs stick

About the author:

Grandmaster Datu Dieter Knüttel, Master in Sport Science is Modern Arnis Chief Instructor for Germany’s DAV and Modern Arnis European Representative (1996-2001) of Professor Remy A. Presas.
He received the title of DATU and the rank of Lakan Anim, 6th Dan Modern Arnis from Professor Remy Presas in 1996, as 4th out of 6 people and the only person outside the US to receive this title.
After receiving his 7th, 8th and 9th Dan in the Philippines, on September 24, 2016 it was publicly announced in Dortmund, Germany that he was awarded 10th Dan, Lakan Sampu by Grandmaster Roberto Presas, 10th Dan Modern Arnis.

Dieter Knuettel has been involved in Filipino martial arts since 1978 and has been teaching FMA/Modern Arnis seminars since 1980 throughout Europe, Australia, the USA, Russia and even the Philippines.

He is one of the most experienced Arnis Modern Masters in the world.
