Inayan Sinawali is a dual stick training style in Filipino martial arts. He uses different attack patterns to develop proficiency with dual weapons. Often known for its rapid “weaving” (hence the name Sinawali) of striking patterns as students interact with each other, this is one of the most fun and easy Filipino martial arts to learn. Easy to learn but hard to master. This tape will demonstrate the Inayan Sinawali Drills pattern 2 – count to 9 – count. Sinawalis of 5 and 7 offsides will be shown along with basic loading (camera) positions. Sinawali helps develop hand-eye coordination, timing, footwork, rhythm, focus, sensitivity, fluidity, concentration and hand/wrist flexibility. To better understand Sinawali’s style, the following concepts will be demonstrated and explained: matching, mirror, round, reverse round, complementary, transposition, chasing, chaining, and mirror chaining. 56 minutes
