The purpose of this training video is to illustrate blade and stick tackles against an armed opponent.

These techniques require keen eye-hand coordination and strong footwork.

The objective of each technique is to successfully block, deflect, grab and lock off an opponent’s attacking hand or arm in an attempt to subdue him or discourage further aggression.

In the Giron system, we are taught to hit the target with the blade, but in some encounters it may be necessary to apply disarming techniques or pass the attacker to face oncoming attackers.

The DVD provides battle-proven examples of blade and stick tackles.
