Spiritual anthropologist
David Verdesi, often called “ a modern day mystic,” has traveled all over the world for 20 years, researching and comparing his own experiences with those of mystics, yogis, cave dwellers, saints and other enlightened beings.
His seeker soul – and background in anthropology – created the connections and access points to allow the Searching for Superhumans docuseries to come into being.
On his non-dualistic path of realization, Shamans, Sufis, Hindus, Daoists, Christians and Buddhist saints have recognized his ability to integrate universal wisdom.

World-renowned qi gong master
A PBS favorite to 50 million households, an instructor of qi gong, meditation and bridge to the east, Lee has worked to bring the ancient Taoist teachings to western culture. Master Holden has been acknowledged by the International Qi Gong Association (2009) for his ability to make the esoteric Taoist teachings accessible to modern students without compromising or diluting their essence.
His own self-discovery journey across Asia eventually led to his Qi Gong teachings being picked up by American public television. He has since appeared on more than 105 public broadcast stations throughout North America.
Outside of Qi Gong and Superhuman, Lee is now transmitting the “power of slow” in his latest work.

The Inner Potential of Energy
Episode details
Meet some remarkable superhumans who have mastered psychic and telekinesis abilities. All of these humans use self-awareness to tap into extraordinary ability and know where the mind goes, energy flows.
David takes Ariel, a psychokinetic from Argentia, to a laboratory environment with “the League,” other masters from around the world with exceptional abilities, coming together to help Ariel understand his capabilities. All of these humans use self-awareness to tap into extraordinary ability; including Sergei, from Russia, who control space and time in extreme situations.
Meet Marina, a Russian with Xray vision who can see with her eyes closed – or in this case even read a book through a blindfold. She describes the steps of mind silencing and then focussing on the object you want to see.

Episode details
Experience a karmic cleansing ritual where old patterns and beliefs release old patterns, as well as a secret practice of SkyGate in Tibetan Buddhism tapping into a vision for humanity.
In this episode David undergoes a Karmic cleansing ritual to let go of old patterns, beliefs, obscurations of the mind and see life clearly, refreshed and expanded. He’s hosted by a yogi who spent nine years in a cave and has an incredible ability to turn his mind off and focus it.
Meet Chung, a buddhist master who helps David explore his spirit and a true sense of who we are. He teaches David how to access the Buddhamind, the unity consciousness, through an access point at the top of his head that allows him to travel and connect to the universal wisdom.
Through doing the SkyGate practice in a deep cavern several hundred feet below the earth’s surface, with the sky above – David is guided to dislocate from his time & space reality.

Episode four
The Energy of Combat, and Healing
Episode details
This episode is about energy and vibration – using it both for martial arts and healing arts and focuses on Bing, a master of martial arts, and Ming, a master of healing arts.
Bing may be small in stature, but he’s able to move and literally throw opponents (much larger than him) across the room in easy and effortless ways. He speaks about the shamans in ancient chinese culture evoking the forces of nature, and it eventually becoming a science – including the five element systems at the source of the energy that empowers his superhuman abilities. And also describes tapping into the energy of an opponent, essentially harnessing their energy and moving it back towards them like a wave.
Ming uses vibration and toning – sounds to make a healing effect in the body. The master of healing energy through sound, explains energy, oura, energy field specific points and then treats people… showing how sound creates a shift in the energy body, then the physical body. His guided relaxation meditation carries us through our physical beings, identifying areas of weakness and giving them energetic strength.
The episode closes on the topic of the power of perception – from phantom limbs to liberating the body and mind in a seamless flow.

Feeling Frequencies
Episode details
From Argentina, Ariel (with telekinetic abilities) has been the subject of many studies for his superhuman powers. Ariel is known for being able to put his hands on a table and levitate that table – or other object – by tapping into what we’re calling the “feeling frequencies” of that object, the table. Part of his process is becoming one with the table – so taking on the same qualities as that table in his energy body. This is a man who can use his mind to move matter – heavy matter, too. This behind the scenes look at Ariel’s work in practice gets real when his first attempt at his super power doesn’t work.
In this episode, his first attempt is demystified when a group of other superhumans from around the world join him at the table. With all their hands on the table, he talks them through his process: with soft hands and very relaxing breath, he extends the energy from his hands into the table.
Arial shares his hopes that the channeling of positive energy can bring a renewed hope for the world, and Lee interrupts the more esoteric dialogue among the superhumans by bringing it all back to how we use our minds – our most powerful tool. “By shifting our intentions, we can shift the world and make it truly a better place.”
