Description
Franklyn Sills MA, UKCP, RCST, BCST
Franklyn Sills is the leading innovator in the field of Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy. His work has inspired a whole generation of therapists. In this recording Sills explores and describes, with an invited audience, what Craniosacral Biodynamics is, where it came from and what it can do. There are four in-depth training demonstration sessions that accompany the talks which have a commentary by Sills of the work he is doing with the client. These demonstration sessions offer a unique training opportunity.
The purpose of these recordings is to clarify the clinical approaches in biodynamics and in doing so support practitioners and teachers who are practicing, as well as students in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. Recorded at the Karuna Institute, Devon, UK

Franklyn Sills is the early pioneer in the development of a biodynamic approach to craniosacral therapy, which has now spread in various forms around the world. The emphasis in a biodynamic approach is on the formative forces that organize and order our human form and life process – from the original shaping of the embryo, to the maintenance of form and the orchestration of healing processes throughout life. This DVD/Memory stick series offers a great opportunity to hear Franklyn describe and demonstrate the current biodynamic approach as taught and practiced at the Karuna Institute. Lectures, demonstration sessions and exchanges will ensure that you receive up-to-date input on current orientations as well as perceptual and clinical skills. In these talks Franklyn will weave together an understanding of primary respiration, the local bioelectric ordering field, the nature of the three bodies – the physical, fluid and tidal bodies – the functions of the fluid tide, Long Tide, and Dynamic Stillness, and the healing dynamics initiated by the Breath of Life within these dynamics, classically called ‘the inherent treatment plan.’
Craniosacral Biodynamics – Foundations and Core Principles
Participant Testimony:
Hearing Franklyn talk through the current biodynamic approach in its fullness at the same time as embodying and demonstrating this ie: the three bodies and the unfolding inherent treatment plans, was a viscerally extraordinary experience. Having trained before the current approach was completely integrated into the Karuna programme, these lectures left me feeing clear and embodied in each of the different aspects of the work, and am excited to explore more.

More information about Medical:
Medicine is the science and practice of establishing the diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
Medicine encompasses a variety of health care practices evolved to maintain and restore health by the prevention and treatment of illness.
Contemporary medicine applies biomedical sciences, biomedical research, genetics, and medical technology to diagnose, treat, and prevent injury and disease,
typically through pharmaceuticals or surgery, but also through therapies as diverse as psychotherapy, external splints and traction, medical devices, biologics, and ionizing radiation, amongst others.
Medicine has been around for thousands of years, during most of which it was an art (an area of skill and knowledge) frequently having connections to the religious and
philosophical beliefs of local culture. For example, a medicine man would apply herbs and say prayers for healing, or an ancient philosopher and physician would apply bloodletting according to the theories of humorism.
In recent centuries, since the advent of modern science, most medicine has become a combination of art and science (both basic and applied, under the umbrella of medical science).
While stitching technique for sutures is an art learned through practice, the knowledge of what happens at the cellular and molecular level in the tissues being stitched arises through science.
