Café, one of the top 10 in the history of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the 2000s, has already defeated renowned fighters, including Fabrício Werdum, Marcelo Garcia, Fernando Tererê and Demian Maia, today considered one of the main representatives of Jiu Jitsu in the UFC, alongside Vitor Belfort and others in the MMA activity.
His main participations were in the Pan-American championships of 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005, and in the world championships of 2002, 2003 and 2006, with the title of three-time world champion of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. In addition, he had several successful participations in Brazilian and foreign championships, such as the runner-up of the ADCC (ABU DHABI COMBAT CLUB) USA in 2000. Champion of the ADCC Brazil 2007 and in July 2017, Café beat the North American fighter Ricco Rodriguez in the legendary heavyweight bout at the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Championship in Tokyo, Japan.
In addition to this long experience of success and also the MMA fights in the UFC, Café selected for RealKombat several Jiu Jitsu techniques applied exclusively to MMA. As is known, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu covers a wide range of punches and guards, from a personal defense style to sport Jiu Jitsu practiced with kimono and “submission (no-gi)”.
With these different techniques, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu imposed itself in the real world of martial arts and is now considered essential for the good performance of fighters. Here, all the knowledge necessary for successful participation in MMA fighting competitions will be objectively shown.
