Why do you need accent reduction?:
1. Maybe you are going to interview for a new job. Speaking without your accent
will be a big help in getting the job. An accent can sometimes be an impediment.
2. Maybe you have a chance to get a better job, so your interview is equally as
important. The ability to speak with you accent.
3. Maybe you are tired of people saying, “Sorry, what did you say?” or “Where are you from?”
Andy Krieger discovered his METHOD of teaching accent reduction in February 1997.
Since that time, he has taught over 24,000 wonderful students, including Jackie Chan, on the left, famous actors and just regular people, like you
Andy Krieger was born in North Carolina and raised in San Francisco but has spent most of his life in Vancouver, British Columbia. That’s why he speaks with an American accent, the basis of his K- Method accent reduction process.
After graduating from Stanford University, he joined the Peace Corps and spent 2 years teaching in Ethiopia. Andy obtained his teaching certificate in British Columbia and for 10 years, he taught elementary and high school students in the lower mainland of British Columbia.
He has also worked in Los Angeles for Warner Bros. and for Central Casting as an extra- casting director, hiring extras for CHEERS, M.A.S.H., PRETTY WOMAN, ROCKY IV, STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION and scores of other movies, TV shows, and commercials.
In 1997, while working for the local actors union, he was asked by a U.S. film producer to help some Canadian actors with their speaking techniques. That’s how he developed the K Method language delivery system that teaches students the right tongue and lip positions to pronounce each word without an accent.
Andy has developed a strong reputation as a teacher who makes students feel very comfortable and confident in the learning process. He has successfully taught more than 7,000 students in North America and internationally. Find out more about their stories here.

– Simon, Guangzhou
” I am deeply impressed by your patience, enthusiasm and mostly, your beautiful American accent. I appreciated it a lot you’ve taught me such a great lesson. And I have learned one thing from you that while speaking, one should speak as slowly as he or she can which can give him or her enough time to think and to put his or her tongue in the right position in order to pronounce right and besides, one should say 2 to 3 words at a time with the help of one hand, thus he or she could get a proper rhythm.”
– Neo, Beijing
“Andy is excellent in teaching specially in accent reduction in English. I have been enormously benefited from him. He can help in detecting wrongs and mistakes which we the sub-continental people generally make in pronouncing English words.”
– Dr. Jahangir, Indo-Canadian Doctor
“Truly, you are very professional and a sheer genius at your work. I honestly could not believe I would leave the class with absolutely no accent and who could be a better judge than my own children. To their sheer delight, mom sounded ‘just like them’!”
– Nixie, Canada
“Thank you Andy for everything! I would like to tell you that I am very impressed and pleased with the accent reduction class with you. It is with great confidence that I recommend K method class to anyone who is interested in reducing their own accent.”
– Sue Han, Korean student
“I wanted to say a big thank you to you for your help and support as I worked on my American accent this year, going from my native British. Your classes were of tremendous value to me, not just by giving me practical skills to approach an American text, but also by giving me the confidence to got out there and try it in the field.”
– Peter Wingfield, actor
“The DVDs plus the book are very useful. I can clearly see that it is possible to change the way I speak, and I will work on it. Thank you again.”

More information about Self Help:
Self-help or self-improvement is a self-guided improvement—economically, intellectually, or emotionally—often with a substantial psychological basis.
Many different self-help group programs exist, each with its own focus, techniques, associated beliefs, proponents and in some cases, leaders.
Concepts and terms originating in self-help culture and Twelve-Step culture, such as recovery, dysfunctional families, and codependency have become firmly integrated in mainstream language.
Self-help often utilizes publicly available information or support groups, on the Internet as well as in person, where people in similar situations join together.
From early examples in self-driven legal practice and home-spun advice, the connotations of the word have spread and often apply particularly to education, business,
psychology and psychotherapy, commonly distributed through the popular genre of self-help books.
According to the APA Dictionary of Psychology, potential benefits of self-help groups that professionals may not be able to provide include friendship,
emotional support, experiential knowledge, identity, meaningful roles, and a sense of belonging.
