Description
Chris “Real Deal” Cormier became an IFBB professional body builder in 1993 after winning the overall title at the NPC USA Championships. Few bodybuilders have had a career as illustrious as Chris, who went on to participate internationally in over seventy professional competitions, taking the overall title in eleven and placing in the top 5 an astounding fifty-two times. For over a decade, Chris proved to have the discipline and endurance to have consistently competed until a devastating injury not only ended his professional career but left him using his same drive and strength of mind and body to learn to walk again.
At just 120lbs, Chris’s journey in bodybuilding began as a teenager. Encouragement from high school teacher Kathy Lauria led him on a quest to learn how to build his body which included countless hours of reading and road trips from Palm Springs, CA to Gold’s Gym-the Mecca of Body Building in Venice, CA, where he was able to learn from the likes of Robby Robinson, Charles Glass, Gary Straydom, and the legendary John Brown.
Known for his superior conditioning, aesthetics and symmetry, Chris knows how to achieve a body that balances extreme mass with beauty. He is still as passionate in his love of the sport and now wants to give back by leveraging his knowledge and experience to educate and empower the next generation of fitness enthusiasts to reach their personal goals, whether to compete at the same level or simply be their best self.
