Pangamot is the Filipino combat art of unarmed defense against a knife or stick-wielding attacker. Christopher Petrilli, a Grade 8 black belt under fighting legend Grandmaster Ciriaco “Cacoy” Cañete, gives you an inside look at a fighting system that takes no prisoners in this explosive DVD set.

Petrilli focuses his training on the “three Ds”: defend, disarm and disable. This means that when you’re outgunned against an attacker with a weapon, you must move in quickly to get in on the attack and stop him with a series of brutal strikes before he can build up momentum. Then you disarm him, taking the weapon away so you can use it against him in a block or a throw to finally disable him. Additionally, Petrilli teaches kamot applications for many of these techniques: locks, chokes, and throwing against an unarmed opponent. His instruction includes dozens of disarms and stick strips, using your attacker’s punyo against him, squeezing locks from multiple angles, and throws that will leave your opponent helpless on the ground.

A former US Army Ranger Christopher Petrilli is an 8-degree black belt in Doce Pares eskrima under legendary Grandmaster Ciriaco “Cacoy” Cañete. He is also an expert practitioner of Indonesian silat pentjak and Japanese aikido.
