+Acumen Crash Course for New Managers
Learn the fundamentals of managing teams and leading others from Seth Godin, Kim Scott, Sheila Heen and +Acumen
Being a boss isn’t easy, especially in the social sector. You need to keep your team motivated while they tackle tough problems. You need to deliver candid feedback without burning people out. You want to recognize high achievers while also getting to the root causes of poor performance. You have to manage the day-to-day details of a job, while also setting a bigger picture vision. You need to handle tough conversations in ways that feel productive and fair. None of this is straightforward.
In this self-paced crash course from +Acumen, new managers will gain practical skills from world-class instructors. This course bundles 3 of our top-selling Master Classes and combines them with additional new content and exercises.
These experts share some of the freshest thinking on management and leadership. This is not your typical human resources course. Instead, you’ll gain access to cutting edge ideas and interactive exercises to become a self-reflective, results-oriented leader early in your career.
This is a dynamic, 6-hour course that will combine video-based tutorials with hands-on exercises and real case studies from nonprofit managers. You’ll gain access to a 20-page workbook to prepare for your first days as a manager. We won’t cover all elements of management—which can take years to master—but you will gain some of the foundational skills to succeed in your first roles and lead your teams to productive results.
What You’ll Gain Access To:
- 20 page workbook for new managers to prepare for your first days leading a team
