Dave Turton is a legend in the UK martial arts world. A man with more than 40 years of training. Dave was inducted into the Combat Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2003.
Dave Turton 10th Dan and head of both associations founded the Self-Defense Federation after finding a need for an association dedicated to purely street-based self-defense.

After several years, more martial arts clubs were wanting to join and learn realistic self-defense that would work on the street, continuing with the original arts. It was decided to start an organization open to all styles of martial arts. ASMAA is proud to be a truly multi-style association. It prides itself on a no-policy approach, is here to help and advise if members, instructors or clubs need it, but does not influence what you can teach or how to teach.

“I started in 1961, after a few years experimenting with more traditional arts like Judo, Karate, Kempo, started Goshinkwai in 1970, 1st Dan in 1975, through the grades until my 10th Dan in 2013. three times inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame .”
