Description:
Feel confident reading the 12-Lead ECG today! You will learn how to systematically and rapidly identify ECG changes and assess for myocardial injury and ischemia. You will be able to better plan for care of your patients and identify problems in their early stages and avoid complications.

- Identification of patterns of injury and ischemia
- ECG changes during stress testing
- Three rules for advanced assessment of the 12 lead
- Reciprocal changes
- Evolution of myocardial infarction
- Complications specific to myocardial infarction by location
- Recording of posterior and right ventricular leads
- Case studies in recognition of injury and ischemia.
OBJECTIVES
- Compare ST segment assessment criteria for limb leads and precordial leads when evaluating for ST elevation.
- Discuss criteria for differentiation between Non-STEMI and unstable angina.
- Differentiate between primary and reciprocal ST segment depression.
- Relate failure of expected ECG evolutionary changes after a STEMI to potential clinical implications.
