Gabriel Beltran’s e-commerce course teaches students how to sell physical products online & scale the business using facebook advertising.
Gabriel was a used car salesman that hated his job and so he started looking for opportunities online. Managed to strike success with e-commerce and was able to scale a successful business to multiple 7 figures.
So what is this e-commerce business all about?
Some people call it drop shipping, because you don’t actually have to carry any inventory.
You source your products from overseas and have the manufacturers ship directly to customers.
I’ve seen people get successful with all kinds of products.
Water bottles, watch, LED lights, Tea, you name it.
How do you find customers?
With Facebook Ads.
You gonna probably wanna put some time into coming up with a cool branding for your product though. Something catchy that your target audience loves.
Gabriel’s first product he launched with which he generated $400K in revenue was a music light bulb – light bulb with speakers built in that can connect with wifi.
He purchased the product from Amazon, like it, so decided to begin selling it.
First it was not very profitable, then he tweaked the FB ads enough and it started taking off.
He has cool tips, like sell product sin bundle.
Just 1 product, or bundle of 3 or 5
He found that a lot of people were buying the bundle of 3, Maximizing his average sales.
The bundle deal triggers the psychology of “I’m saving money, I’m getting more out of my dollar”.
Starting sellin ‘um like hot cakes but 3 months in ran into an issue with the supplier and for months he was not able to ship the product to his customers, causing his customers to do charge backs. In 1 month he was charged back $27,000 out of his bank account because of incompetent supplier.
He learned a valuable lesson then of making sure to do due diligence on the supplier.
He had to stop selling the speaker light bulb product.
That is the challenge of ecommerce, unlike an informational product, you need to a manufacturer that can handle the scale.
Secret 1: Setting up your online store
Secret 2: How to find hot products to sell
Secret 3: How to scale from $1000 to $10K to $40K & up
Concise & to the point.
Not gonna lie, I’ve gone through a lot more in-depth ecommerce courses before.
But more info is not always better imo.
Might be good that this course is so concise because sometimes information overload leads to paralysis by analysis.
Having a mentor at the end of the day like Gabriel will save you so much time & money in the long run because you’re going to learn from their trial & error / all the mistakes they’ve made.
Especially when it comes to creating facebook ads that perform well, you want someone with experience walking through it.
Never a good idea to try to learn all of this on your own. That could get expensive real quick!
What are some of the challenges of Ecommerce Business?
how easy is it to become successful with Ecom? with so many coaches coming out these days talking about their big number, it can seem so simple.
Crazy stories like going from brand new product to $100K per day in a week.
Gabriel supposedly went from zero to generating $8 mil in 13 months.
Sounds too good to be true?
Here’s some of the challenges
- Not all products you try to sell on facebook will be profitable
- Facebook ads have short life spans, eventually the ad will burn through its audience and become non-profitable. So one must constantly monitor their ad performance and be really good at making great ads. Some people really strugle with this because this requires persistence & willingness to spend money to learn
- You can run into issues with scaling a physical product, issues with manufacturers, products breaking, returns, etc
- Because every ecommerce guy is relying on Facebook ads, some product niches can be quite competitive
- Profit margin can be quite slim because there are cost of product sold plus your Facebook ad cost. Some experience burn out making only 10-20% profit margin while needed to fullfill such large number of customers. Could explain why so many ecommerce guys transition to becoming coaches selling informational product.
- Let’s the physical product has 40% profit margin, you then have to factor in the ad cost, so you on have so much room to spend on ads before the ad spend eats up all of your profit margin. This is where the biggest challenge of Ecommerce business lies. Being able to keep the ad spend low enough per conversion while still remaining profitable. & Sometimes its not always under your control. Facebook ads sometimes do very poorly, certain time of the year could cause really low sales, etc.
Because profit margins can sometimes be so slim with ecommerce, many people choose to promote affiliate offers on Facebook instead or like Gabriel eventually come up with your own informational product to sell where profit margins are nearly 100%.
Ecommerce can become quite the grind and almost like a new job because you not only have to keep working at your facebook ad campaigns but you’re also responsible for on-going customer order fulfillment.
However for most people stuck at 9 to 5 jobs that they hate, starting a successful e-commerce business is an infinitely better option.
Final Thoughts on Ecom Millionaire
Gabriel knows what he’s talking about and he also already has several very successful students in the Ecom game.
If selling physical products sounds like your heart’s calling, look into this course, live it & breathe it.
Just like any online business opportunity, its those that never quit & have a burning desire to succeed, eventually become successful.
You need to enjoy the entire process of learning, sometimes eating shit & failing, but enjoy all of that shit. Even love the sucky failing part.
If you just want everything to turn rosy overnight, you will not have the intestinal fortitude to actually create long-term sustainable results.
Instant gratification mindset doesn’t win.
Look when going into business for yourself, there is no one out there to cut you a paycheck. Everything comes down to you.
You must be willing to make the necessary sacrifices & have a “do whatever it takes” attitude to withstand not only unexpected external challenges that may come up but all of the internal challenges of self-doubt, procrastination & other self-limiting thoughts & belief structures that have kept you where you’re at and combat them.
Becoming a successful entrepreneur is as much about learning new skills as it is looking deeper within & getting a deeper understanding of yourself. Your self-sabotaging tendencies, having an honest assessment & diligently work to overcome them.
Its almost as if our previous behavior & thinking patterns have some sort of inertia, you can’t just stop them or change them in an instant, it can take some time before your old patterns quite down a bit and the new, more empowering ones take root.
I’m here to tell you it can be done.
I also came from nothing, to becoming one of the success stories.
This is why its so critical to immerse yourself in entrepreneurial content, not just going through the course but surrounding yourself with other entrepreneurs and mentors is the major key.
So what is my recommendation?
E-commerce for me requires too many repetitive tasks to keep the business running, & I’m someone that rather do less sales but make more money per sale because I’ve got pretty much near 100% profit margin with my current business. Let’s say 98% to be safe, because there are some cost with website hosting, etc.
I love local marketing with free traffic because you’re building a business that is here to stay for the long term.
Once you rank websites, they will get free traffic and generate income for you for years to come.
With Local rankings, its a lot easier than most people think.
So I progressively make more money without ever having to spend more time to make it.
This is how you leverage your knowledge & skills to create time freedom.
Building multiple streams of income that can run on its own.
With Ecommerce, Gabriel did really well with his first speaker light bulb product for few months but as soon as there was an issue with the manufacturer, he was forced to stop selling that product and his sales went back down to zero.
With my business, that could never happen. My sites are ranked no matter what I do they generate income month after month. Makes me money while I sleep or take vacations. I don’t worry about customer order fulfillment or if tomorrow my ads will perform or not.
The biz is much more stable in that way, although the advantage of FB ads is the ability to begin generating traffic right away & to scale faster.
If you want to learn how to do Free Traffic Local marketing, this is the best system I’ve found that literally took me from zero to multiple 6 figure laptop business mougal.
I enjoyed learning from Gabriel, but local marketing is still my #1 pick for the best internet business to make your first sustainable & ehtical 6 figure income.
