Level 1 Assessment – explores the various methods and importance of conducting physical assessments on your clients. Upon successful completion of this course the coach will:
Understand the importance of assessment and data (why, when and what)
Understand how to organize assessments based on the individual, semi-private and group training environment
Perform caliper testing for males and females (norms, data, goal setting) and how to communicate the data to client
Physically test a client by using the functional movement screen, including torso, upper and lower body specific muscular tests under load and non-loading environments.
Effectively observe and identify overtraining /overreaching
Level 1 Program Design – the technical cornerstone of the Level 1 CCP. This course introduces our methodology to create an optimal training program for any given training environment. Upon completion of the course each coach will have the ability to:
Design effective programs based on client needs and goals by integrating the information in this module with that gained in Assessment, Nutrition and Life Coaching.
Understand energy systems, how to prioritize and intertwine within a program
Understand different tools to accomplish energy system demands as well as skill based vs. intensity based training
Understand the science behind tempo/sets/reps/rest
Evaluate assessment results and collaborate them into the program design
Schedule frequency of training, periodization and intensity/volume
Understand the importance of prioritization in program design
Deliver the program design to the client in a concise, effective manner
