Description
In Seoul, Korea, 1945, Master Byung In Yun established the YMCA Martial Art Club. Sadly, he was killed in the Korean War.
Two years later, in 1947, Master Nam Sak Lee established the Chang Moo Kwan Kong Soo Do Association in Seoul, Korea. Here, Master Kang Rhee trained with Master Lee from 1953 to 1956, where he learned the value of perfect, clear technique.
During Master Rhee’s studies with Master Lee, Master Chul Hee Park established the Kang Duk Won Moo Do Association in Seoul, Korea in 1954. Once Master Rhee’s studies were completed with Master Lee, he went to train with Mestre Park to define and refine his technique. for more grace and beauty. He trained with Master Park from 1957 to 1964
Then, in 1964, Master Kang Rhee came to the United States. Combining the training he received from both Masters, Master Rhee developed the PaSaRyu system and established the PaSaRyu Martial Artist Association in Memphis, Tennessee. Since then, Master Rhee has taught many students and the art of PaSaRyu continues to grow.
The PaSaRyu (Way of Honor) style is a blend of elements from Karate, Kung Fu and TaeKwonDo. The style is more open and free than traditional forms.
