Description:
[1 eBook – PDF]Biomechanics-based program which addresses our posture, alignment, and movement patterns to restore optimal function and health to all of our systems. Many of us don’t realize that a majority of the chronic pain, injury, and disease we experience is directly connected to our poor alignment and movement patterns. The way we use our bodies is a main determinant of whether we’re simply surviving or actually thriving in our bodies, and is largely responsible for how gracefully we’ll age later in life. The new word on the street is that movement and alignment has everything to do with our health, from the micro-level of cellular regeneration to the macro-level of pain, disease, and dysfunction.
Created by amazing biomechanist Katy Bowman, Restorative Exercise™ addresses your whole body alignment from the ground up and gives you the tools to restore your body back to wellness. In a typical RE session we will assess your posture, your current joint ranges of motion, strength-to-weight ratios, and reflex-driven motor skills, and we’ll prescribe specific corrective exercises to target your body’s imbalances. This work includes stretching and strengthening similar to what you’d think of with yoga, pilates, etc., but the exercises are based on biomechanics (the science of how the body moves) and instead of doing them for just an hour or so on your yoga mat, we integrate them throughout our day to keep the body moving and circulation flowing all day long.
RE is designed to bring balance and integrity back to your structure and will vastly benefit all bodies, regardless of whether you have pain or not.

More information about Medical:
Medicine is the science and practice of establishing the diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
Medicine encompasses a variety of health care practices evolved to maintain and restore health by the prevention and treatment of illness.
Contemporary medicine applies biomedical sciences, biomedical research, genetics, and medical technology to diagnose, treat, and prevent injury and disease,
typically through pharmaceuticals or surgery, but also through therapies as diverse as psychotherapy, external splints and traction, medical devices, biologics, and ionizing radiation, amongst others.
Medicine has been around for thousands of years, during most of which it was an art (an area of skill and knowledge) frequently having connections to the religious and philosophical beliefs of local culture.
For example, a medicine man would apply herbs and say prayers for healing, or an ancient philosopher and physician would apply bloodletting according to the theories of humorism.
In recent centuries, since the advent of modern science, most medicine has become a combination of art and science (both basic and applied, under the umbrella of medical science).
While stitching technique for sutures is an art learned through practice.
The knowledge of what happens at the cellular and molecular level in the tissues being stitched arises through science.
