About Ken Primola
Ken Primola, a Gracie Jiu Jitsu black belt, has been fighting for over 20 years. Primola began wrestling when she was 12 years old, ending her academic sports career by earning a Division I varsity letter at East Stroudsburg University. After college, Primola focused his athletic activity on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, earning his black belt in 2009. The list of who he studied reads like a Who’s Who of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and wrestling.

After college, Primola began her Gracie Jiu Jitsu studies, earning her blue belt from Rorion Gracie in 2000. Following that achievement, Primola traveled to California, briefly training with Rickson Gracie in Los Angeles before Rickson moved to Brazil, and spend two years at BJJ Revolution in San Diego under the tutelage of Rodrigo Medieros.

Back on the East Coast, Primola earned purple, brown and black belts from legendary Relson Gracie black belts Phil Migliarese (aka The Jiu Jitsu Matrix) and Ricardo Migliarese.

● CBJJ Pan Am gi Adult Tournament Championship winner, beating a TUF (Ultimate Fight Championships) competitor (Brown Belt final).

● Winner, Adult Advanced Division, North American Grappling Association (NAGA) World Championships, winning both Brown and Black Belt combined championships as a Brown Belt.

● Winner, World Masters Championship in Brazil (Purple Belt)

● Placed and/or won many minor regional tournaments and was involved in many superfights.

● 2011 Worlds, where Primola was just one of the few Americans to win fights at Black Belt, losing only in the Absolute Division to eventual Super Heavyweight Champion Gabriel Vella.
