The second general topic, Dynamics of Hypnosis, includes information on hypnotic literalness, response readiness, subjective involvement, participation, learning, indirect suggestion, reorientation, emotion reaction, goals and expectancy, problem analysis, confidence, expectation, understanding, tailoring, and symbolism. The third general topic, Techniques of Hypnosis, includes information on eye fixation and muscle relaxation, repetition, informal induction, joining, acceptance, reframing, utilization, teaching, future orientation, empowerment, conditioning, competition, and autohypnosis. The final section is a recording of Dr. Erickson’s demonstration of hypnosis using a naive subject and his critique of demonstrations by members of the audience.
