Description:
[VHS Rip]The Devil’s Picturebook is much of Derren’s card repitoire as well as a few mentalism tricks. Some of these you’ve seen in the show (sometimes in a modified form), but most of them he’d already abandoned by the time the show aired.
The 1999 lecture was at a magic convention, and there he talks about the importance of creating a memorable experience, rather than just showing people some tricks. Stuff they’ll walk away from and still talk about years later. Excellent stuff, and it seems this lecture is pretty rare. Here’s the trick listing for Devil’s Picturebook.
