So, you’ve started using Awakening Level 2. Congratulations. I think you’re really going to like this new and stronger level of Holosync.
Let’s review a few things you’ll find helpful as you get started.
First, remember that your experience with this new level may not be the same as your experience with Awakening Level 1. Why? Because your experience, first of all, comes from you, not from Holosync. We provide the stimulus (which, with this new level, is stronger), but you provide the response.
So, if you became attached to the experience you had with Awakening Level 1, be prepared for it to be different, because it very well might be. You’re going to be delving into a deeper part of yourself, and we don’t know what you’ll find there. But as your awareness expands and you become aware of a deeper level of yourself, something remarkable will happen, I promise. Holosync is an ongoing, unfolding process—an adventure of awakening, really—and it will constantly change. Your job is to…
…drop your attachment to it
happening in any particular way.
Holosync creates awareness. As your awareness increases you become more aware of yourself, of life, of how you create your experience of life, and of what you do to navigate your way through it (internally and externally). You see aspects of yourself and of life of which you were previously unaware.
Why is this increased awareness important?
Because awareness
creates choice.
Whatever happens outside your awareness happens automatically. What you’re aware of, though, you have a choice about. And, when you have a choice, you will always choose what is most resourceful, for yourself and for others. When you’re unaware of how your beliefs become self-fulfilling prophecies, for instance, you’ll automatically and unconsciously figure out how to “prove” that you’re right about what you believe.
Because this happens outside your awareness, it will seem as if it is “just happening”. It will seem as if what is happening is inevitable, or bad luck, or someone else’s fault.
See yourself believe something (see your thoughts, your internal pictures, how you make decisions, how you feel attracted to certain people and certain situations, etc.), as you do it, and also see the consequences created by the belief (i.e., see how the belief causes you to seek, create, or imagine “evidence” that you are right), and this awareness causes you to automatically drop the belief…
…if it doesn’t serve you.
Here’s a question you might be asking yourself right now: As you use Holosync, what do you become aware of? You become aware of two broad categories—one of which you probably want to become aware of, and another that most people don’t particularly want to become aware of (though both are extremely beneficial). As with all meditation (and much more so with an accelerated meditation method such as Holosync), you’ll become more aware of how everything is connected, how everything goes together, and how you are connected to everything else. You become aware of what some people call the transcendent, God, the Source, Oneness, or the Ground of Being. This is the “positive” side of the coin. Awareness of this positive side of the coin…
…feels good.
Most people enjoy becoming aware of the transcendent nature of reality, the oneness of all things, because it feels good. It gives you a deep sense of inner peace—and a realization that who you are is much more profound than you thought.
You begin to realize that…
..there’s really nothing
to worry about.
This, of course, is huge. But there’s something else that you become aware of, something many people don’t like. In fact, it’s the source of the upheaval some people experience as they use Holosync. This awareness, though, is crucial, and turns out to be every bit as beneficial and desirable (perhaps even more beneficial) than the awareness of the transcendent.
So what is this “negative” side
of the coin you become aware
of as you use Holosync?
It’s an awareness of what you’ve disowned or repressed—about yourself, about life, about other people, and about being humans. It’s an awareness of what you’re resisting in life, of those aspects of reality you’ve always thought were negative, undesirable, wrong, inappropriate, or bad.
We all learn when we’re children that it’s bad to be a certain way. And, we all have certain experiences that caused us to believe that certain people, situations, and aspects of life are dangerous, or potentially dangerous.
When these things appear in our life, either in reality or in our mind, an inner alarm bell sounds and we resist these things…
…whether we see them
in ourselves, or in others.
This resistance feels bad (in fact, this resistance is the source of all bad feelings). This feeling reinforces our idea that whatever we’re resisting really is bad—even though the bad feelings are coming from our own internal resistance, not from that which we’re resisting.
So, as your awareness expands as a result of using Holosync, you will become aware of certain things you’ve pushed out of your awareness because you decided when you were very small that they’re wrong, bad, or inappropriate.
When these things first come into your awareness, you will probably respond by resisting them. Resistance, contrary to popular thinking, is something you do, not something that “just happens”.
In fact, part of the expansion of awareness created by Holosync will be an awareness of “how you do resistance”. Once you become aware of this, it becomes a choice.
And, once it is a choice, all
the pain you’ve caused for yourself
by resisting life will dissolve.
This is one of the main gifts Holosync brings to you.
Once you embrace and acknowledge that this (supposedly) negative stuff is a normal part of life—and of all human beings, including you—your inner peace increases dramatically.
Why?
Because you’ve stopped
fighting with life.
If you’re in a tug of war with life, and you put down your end of the rope, it is a huge relief, believe me. In fact, it changes everything.
So be on the alert for this process. When something comes up—an uncomfortable feeling, for instance—while you’re using Awakening Level 2, remind yourself that you are resisting something that you think is wrong. You might not even be completely aware of what it is at first. You might just feel the resistance.
When this happens, instead of
resisting, watch with awareness.
Notice your thoughts. Notice the internal pictures you make. See if perhaps you can identify a related belief.
Much of human suffering is based on an underlying belief that everything should be “good”—good feelings, good outcomes, good behaviors, good people, good thoughts, good personal qualities.
That would be nice, I suppose, but it isn’t the way things are. People are both good and bad, happy and sad, honest and dishonest, energetic and lazy, kind and unkind, generous and selfish…
And so on.
Thinking that life “should” involve just the side of the coin you prefer is a recipe for suffering. Holosync helps you relax about the side of the coin you’ve been fruitlessly trying to get rid of and be okay with life being the way it is instead of fighting a fight you can’t win.
And, ironically, when you stop trying to get rid of that “negative” side of the coin, you experience much less of it. And, you are much less reactive to it when you do experience it.
Overall, everything improves.
Yes, do take action to make things be more like you want them to be. But also realize that there will always be things you don’t prefer, some of the time you’ll have feelings you don’t like, and some of the time there will be people who do things you don’t like, and you will experience outcomes some of the time that you don’t like.
Life includes both
sides of the coin.
Take action to create what you want, but at the same time surrender to what is.
I’m sure you already know this. Knowing it, though, doesn’t mean that we live that way. This is why Holosync is so powerful—it causes you to live without resistance, not just intellectually know that it would be a good idea to do so.
If you recognize that any upheaval you might have is part of the process of becoming aware of what you’re resisting, you can accelerate this process. You can always prefer that things be a certain way (and work toward making that happen). And, you can also, at the same time, realize that things will never be totally the way you want them to be.
Holosync, and the awareness it creates, is a tremendous gift. But as my friend Lisa Nichols sometimes says, “Gifts often come wrapped in sandpaper.” Knowing this demonstrates a deep level of wisdom.
