This ancient breath technique was long hold secret because of its great power. It prepares the mind and body for the controlled movement of Kundalini. Secondly, The secret teachings of many traditions use kundalini energy to rejuvenate the body, empower the mind and awaken the soul.
Thirdly, The Breath pulls magnetic (shakti) energy into the spine, magnetizing the cerebro-spinal fluid, allowing Kundalini to move up the spine. As the brain bathes in this magnetized fluid, the nervous system is transform. You awaken to a new consciousness. Receiving Cobra Breath:Cobra Breath is a very secret and sacred tradition. It is an oral teaching that is not to be written down or recorded.
It is taught only by those authorized through direct lineage from Babaji. When receiving Cobra Breath, one must first promise not to reveal it to others. It is important to be properly prepared and have an appreciation of this gift when being initiated.
There are seven levels of Cobra Breath. The first four levels are teach in Ipsalu workshops. The last three come to you when you are ready through meditation, dreams or visions. Each Level Cobra Breath has a specific purpose and function that creates a safe sequence for opening chakras:First Level Cobra Breath is a powerful method for quickly opening Ajna (the third eye ~ 6th Chakra). As this center is energized, you become able to perceive things as they truly are (witness consciousness), rather than in ways that only support your ego.
Second Level Cobra Breath balances your male/female energies and helps clear the lower three centers of repressed emotional debris. (1st, 2nd & 3rd – ego chakras)Third Level Cobra Breath opens the heart and finally the throat centers ( 4th & 5th chakras) and also opens the central channel of the spine, helping Kundalini rise.
Fourth Level Cobra Breath opens the crown center ( 7th chakra), awakening Cosmic Connection, Divine Love.
Kriya Yoga: Cobra Breath is the capstone of the science of Kriya Yoga. “Kriya” means “action” and refers to the conscious manipulation of energy through the body. As you examine your intentions that aren’t being realized, you discover, invariably, some limiting belief standing in the way, something about your inability, unworthiness, or unwillingness.
That belief is glu in place by the emotions present when the belief was adopt — the sadness, fear or anger surrounding some pivotal event.
Emotional Release is an integral part of learning to manifest. The student should expect to consistently devote 30-60 minutes a day to achieve the best results. Kriya Yoga has long promised enlightenment in this lifetime to those who would be diligent in the practice.
Sitting With Feelings is an example of a Ipsalu Tantra Kriya Yoga Practice. It can take great courage to really sit with our feelings, allowing ourselves to surrender to their powerful energies.
All too often we set our feelings aside, thinking we will deal with them later.
If we don’t deal with them, we end up storing them in our minds and bodies and this is when anxiety and other health issues can arise.
Denying what our bodies want to feel can lead to trouble now or down the line,
which is why being in the thick of our feelings, no matter how scary it seems, is really the best thing we can do for ourselves.
One of the reasons we tend to hide or push aside our feelings is that we live in a culture that has not traditionally supported emotional awareness.
However, as the connection between mind and body–our emotions and our physical health– becomes clearer, awareness of the importance of feeling our feelings has grown.
There are many books, classes, workshops and retreats that can help us on our way to emotional intelligence, however, in Ipsalu Tantra Kundalini Kriya Yoga, we trust in our own ability to process what comes up when it comes up.
If sadness arises, we can notice its presence and welcome it, noting where in our bodies we feel it, and allowing ourselves to express it through tears or a quiet turning inward.
When we simply allow ourselves to fully feel our feelings as they come, we tend to let them go easily.
This is all we are require to do; our feelings simply want to be feel.
We often complicate the situation by applying mental energy in the form of analysis, when all we really need is to allow, as the earth allows the rain to fall upon it.
As the rain falls, the earth responds in a multitude of ways, sometimes emptying out to form a great canyon, sometimes soaking it up to nourish an infinitude of plants.
In the same way, the deeper purpose of our feelings is to transform the terrain of our inner world, sometimes creating space for more feelings to flow, sometimes providing sustenance for growth.
All we need to do is allow the process by relaxing, opening, and receiving the bounty of our emotions.
